A little skiing…

…and a little biking

It's nice up there right now. Indian Paintbrush season is in full bloom. A late summer plant – the last burst before things start changing.

On a sad note, found a very poorly put out campfire this morning. Smoldering logs hanging out of a fire pit. Did what I could – doused the logs in the river and covered the thing with big boulders. I'm sure the folks who built this fire don't read this blog, but if the bikers and hikers and skiers out there are cruising along and smell smoke, do bother to check it out. We are in a sense the guardians of these woods, and there is a lot to protect.
